New Delhi: Budget airline GoAir on Sunday announced a happy news for Kannur natives. The airline will operate two directs flights to Dubai and Kuwait from Kannur International airport.
It is reported that GoAir will start operations in seven new international routes from July 19. GoAir has started service to Dubai and Kuwait for the first time.
At present, GoAir has been operating service to Abu Dhabi and Muscat from Kannur airport.
The airline said in a statement that it would start flying to Abu Dhabi and Bangkok from both Mumbai and Delhi, to Muscat from Mumbai, and to Dubai and Kuwait from Kannur in Kerala, subject to final approvals.
GoAir will also operate flights to Maldives and Phuket from Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai.
So far, 7.2 crore passengers have used the service of GoAir.
“We plan to expand the network and increase the number of passengers to 10 crore within two years,” said GoAir managing director Jeh Wadia.
