Gold records Rs 36,320 per sovereign
Gold price in Kerala on Wednesday recorded Rs 36,320 per sovereign with an increase of Rs 200. One gram of gold metal costs Rs 4,540 with an increase of Rs 25 from the previous day.
As on Tuesday, the cost of gold per sovereign was Rs 36,120 with an increase of Rs 320 while it was Rs 35,800 on Monday. It was the lowest price to be recorded this month.
In the international market, gold is priced at $1,793. 6 per troy ounce, almost unchanged from the previous day’s rate.
Globally, the surging COVID-19 cases, reflects in international gold market resulting in price hike. The demand for gold, which is considered as a safe-haven metal, has also increased due to the pandemic scare.
