Gold price touches Rs 36,600 per sovereign
Kochi: Gold price hit a fresh record high on Thursday after the price surged by Rs 280 and touched Rs 36,600 per sovereign. The price of gold keeps increasing day by day in Kerala.
It is learned that gold per gram rose by Rs 35 on Thursday. Hence, the gold price rose from Rs 4540 to Rs 4575 per gram.
On Tuesday, gold price recorded a hike of Rs 320 per sovereign and touched Rs 36,120. At the same time, the market recorded Rs 36,320 per sovereign after the price rose by Rs 200 on Wednesday.
The customers have to spent over Rs 41,000 to purchase gold including making charges and wastage.
The gold price is surging day by day as the world countries are on the verge of economic crisis. With the rapid spread of COVID-19, the international market recorded the highest price of gold in the last 8 years.
As the rupee continues to fall against the dollar, the gold price hit another record in the national market.
