Gold price keeps surging; soon to touch Rs 41,000 per sovereign
Gold price has broken all records and is close to touch Rs 41,000 for a sovereign. The price increased by Rs 520 on Wednesday and reached Rs 40,800. The price of one gram of gold increased by Rs 65 and touched Rs 5100.
Gold price first reached Rs 40,000 per sovereign on July 31. Within five days, the price further escalated by Rs 800. In national market, 10 grams of gold is sold at a rate of Rs 54,797.
In international market, the price of one troy ounce of gold crossed 2000 Dollars for the first time. The price increased by 0.2 percent and is traded at 2,033.42 Dollars currently.
The investment in gold increases as other markets are dull and the COVID crisis still exists. The highest investment is on Gold ETF. The current investment in SPDR Gold Trust, the largest gold exchange trade fund in the world, is 1257.73 tonnes of gold.
