Gold price jumps to Rs 36,760 per sovereign
Gold price continues to climb in the Indian market. On Tuesday, gold price rose by Rs 160 and touched a record price of Rs 36,760 per sovereign and Rs 4595 per gram.
On July 6, gold price has fallen to Rs 35,800 per sovereign. But in the next few days, the market witnessed a steep hike in the price. In 2020, gold price rose by Rs 7,760 per sovereign.
In the global market, spot gold prices touched a record within the last 9 years. It is reported that the gold price rose to $ 1,818.53 per ounce. Gold futures on MCX traded at Rs 49,085 per 10 gram.
It is learned that gold price continues to surge expecting world countries will introduce economic packages to handle the financial crisis amid COVID-19 outbreak.
