After a single day surge of Rs 1,040, the price of gold in Kerala came down by Rs 800 per sovereign on Wednesday. With this, one sovereign of gold is priced at Rs 39,440. This was at Rs 40,240 on Tuesday after recording an increase twice in one day.
One gram of gold is priced at Rs 4,930 following a reduction of Rs 100. The price of one troy ounce of pure gold reached 2,002.12 dollars. It was at 2,010 dollars the previous day.
There has been severe fluctuation in the gold market once its price touched Rs 42,000. This was because of investors drawing out their profits and investing again.
