6 Keralites in Forbes list of 100 richest Indians
Kochi: Six Keralites have been included in the list of 100 richest Indians in the world.
Muthoot Finance chairman, MG George, is on top with assets worth 480 crore Dollars (Rs 35,500 crores). However, this includes the assets of his brothers as well.
Meanwhile, Lulu Group chairman, MA Yusuff Ali, is the richest Keralite when it comes to individual wealth with assets worth 445 crore Dollars (Rs 32,900 crores).
Abu Dhabi government’s ADQ company had invested Rs 8,000 crores in Lulu's retail chain recently. Following this, the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia is also preparing to invest a large sum of money in the company. This would considerably increase MA Yusuff Ali’s worth in the coming years.
Byju Raveendran of Byju’s app, Kris Gopalakrishnan, co- founder of Infosys, Sunny Varkey, Chairman of GEMS Education, S Shibulal, co-founder of Infosys are also included in the list.
