26-yr-old Malayali entrepreneur with his US-based start-up finds place in Forbes 30 Under 30 list
Kochi: Ashwin Sreenivas, 26-year-old Malayali entrepreneur with his US-based enterprise technology start-up called Campfire, has made it to the ambitious Forbes 30 under 30 list.
He has been featured in enterprise technology category. His start-up Campfire centred in California aids companies in managing and strengthening their online community platforms. Big giants from Silicon Valley have made capital investments with his start-up. This includes Eventbrite founder Julia Hartz, who has also invested in Uber and Airbnb.
Ashwin earlier had a start-up called Helia dealing with enterprise security. He sold it and after that he ventured into Campfire. He completed his schooling from Choice School in Kochi and did his graduation and post-graduation in Standford University, California. As a teenager, he represented India in the International Junior Science Olympiad and has won medals.
His parents stay at Kochi’s Panampilly Nagar. He is son of AICC secretary Sreenivasan Krishnan and St Teresa's English department assistant professor Preethi Sreenivasan.
