Suneetha Balakrishnan works in two languages, English and Malayalam. She edits, translates and writes fiction, poetry, and journalistic features. Suneetha has written for The Guardian, The Hindu, The Caravan, The Business Standard, Tehelka and thehoot.org among other publications and was certified by the British Council as a Creative Writing Trainer.
She has to her credit an anthology of poetry, two light novellas and four books of translated works; the last includes the Malayalam translation of Jhumpa Lahiri's Interpreter of Maladies and Jaishree Mishra's Rani. She currently contributes two weekly columns on writing; one in Malayalam for the Mathrubhumi Nagaram page, and the other in English for the website Indialivetoday.
