Monica Kaguithia is a women rights activist and founder of Entito Africa initiative, Kenya, an organization that fights against Female genital mutilation (FGM). She founded the organization in 2011 after graduating from Kanthari International Institute for Social Entrepreneurship and has since empowered more than 3,000 girls to make informed choices concerning their lives, helped rescue 32 girls from early/forced marriage and placed them in schools. Monica was married at the age of sixteen and is a survivor of domestic violence. Monica is writing her first book, titled "I Become". She was featured in a key role in the film, Kanthari: Change From Within, alongside Nobel peace prize nominee, Sabriye Tenberken, and her partner Paul Kronenberg.
