Thiruvananthapuram: An H1N1 alert has been issued in the state following the flood havoc. The health department issued the warning after three persons died of H1N1 and 38 others are confirmed to have affected with the disease this month.
According to a report of the health department, a total of 42 persons died of H1N1 this year and 821 persons were confirmed of the disease.
The primary symptoms of H1N1 are fever, dry cough, cold, sore throat and chills. Those who experience the symptoms should seek medical help without delay.
Pregnant women, children aged below 5 years, elderly people aged above 65 years, people with kidney, liver or heart diseases are also cautioned.
