Adhin, who was born without ribs on right side of body, seeks help for surgery
Kadambazhippuram: Adhin has dreams to play like other children in his neighbourhood. But, his weak body doesn’t allow this. Two-years-old Adhin’s body could be fractured anytime if he falls down or his friends give him a tight hug.
Adhin, son of Aruvakkode natives Mahesh and Preetha was born at Ottappalam government hospital. He was born without ribs on right side and with two holes in his heart. His further treatment was in a private hospital and Thrissur Medical College. At this condition, even slight climate change could affect him with various illnesses. Breathing trouble was also a frequent challenge for him.
His father Mahesh is an electrician and his income is insufficient to meet the expenses of treatments. Helps from kind hearted people are required to continue the treatments.
An operation was suggested to implant artificial ribs to little Adhin at Thiruvananthapuram Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology. However, it costs lakhs of rupees which is unaffordable to the family.
To help the family with the treatment, local people have formed a committee to collect money. A joint account was opened at Kadambazhippuram Gramin Bank for this purpose.
