Turn flattened rice (poha) into crispy vada
Flattened rice or poha as it is called is better known as a snack or as an ingredient in several breakfast recipes. Here is how you can turn it into crispy vada.
- Flattened rice (poha): 1 cup (thicker variety works better)
- Rice flour: 3 tablespoons
- Onion: 1 nos
- Green chilli: 3 nos
- Curry leaves: As per requirement
- Salt: As per taste
- Ginger: As per requirement
- Garlic: As per requirement
Wash the flattened rice twice or thrice and drain. Roughly chop the ginger, garlic, onion, green chilly and curry leaves. Throw them into the blender to create a rough paste. In a bowl, add the flattened rice, rice flour, the crushed items and salt. Mix and roll them into balls. Flatten them and deep fry. Flattened rice vada ready.
