Trying to lose weight? Try this broken wheat-vegetable salad
Those who try to reduce body weight knows the importance of diet. Here is a salad recipe that will help you achieve weight goals without compromising on nutrition and taste. It does not require any cooking, which is only a bonus.
- Broken wheat: 1/4 cup
- Onion: 1 small
- Olive/Coconut oil: 2 tablespoons
- Coriander leaves: 2 teaspoons (minced)
- Tomato: 3 nos (diced)
- Cucumber: 1 medium sized
- Lime juice: 1/4 cup
- Salt and pepper: As per taste
Wash the broken wheat and soak it in water for 20 minutes. Add salt and pepper to the chopped onions and mix well. Squeeze the water out of the onions and pit it into a bowl. Add olive/coconut oil to it. Then add the broken wheat, chopped tomato, cucumber and coriander leaves. Mix well before adding the lime juice. Mix thoroughly once again and the salad is ready.
