Cupcakes are one of those sweet treats that lure you into the bakery. They are a hit when it comes to treating your colleagues or classmates for an occasion. Master this recipe and you won’t be heading to the bakery for cupcakes anytime soon.
Ingredients
- Maida: 1 cup
- Baking powder: 1 teaspoon
- Baking soda: ½ teaspoon
- Salt: one pinch
- Sugar: 2 1 cup
- Eggs: 2 nos
- Vegetable oil: ½ cup
- Plain curd/yogurt: ½ cup
- Vanilla essence: 1 teaspoon
- Strawberry: ¼ cup (grated)
How to prepare
Mix the maida, baking powder, baking soda and salt and sieve it into a bowl. Beat the eggs and sugar together. Add the vanilla essence, vegetable oil, yogurt and strawberry before beating it again using an electric egg beater. Add the prepared maida to this and mix well.
In a baking tray, set up cupcake moulds and pour in the mix into each of them. Bake them in an oven pre-heated to 180 degree Celsius for 30 minutes. Poke on the cupcakes using a toothpick. If the mix doesn’t stick to the toothpick, the cupcakes are ready.
