Kebabs are a wonderful way to enjoy meat. The technique can also be used to prepare fish and even vegetables. Here is how to make fish kebabs.
Fish: 250 grams (any meaty variety will do)
Potato: 1 (small, boiled)
Onion: 1 (large, finely chopped)
Ginger: 1 (small piece, finely chopped)
Garlic: 6-7 cloves (finely chopped)
Green chilli: 2 (finely chopped)
Coriander leaves: 2 tablespoons (finely chopped)
Maida/corn flour: 2 tablespoons
Black pepper powder: 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder: ¼ teaspoon
Chilli powder: 1 teaspoon
Garam masala: 1 teaspoon
Salt: As per taste
Oil: As per requirement
Cook and debone the fish and mince it. (canned fish can be used as an alternative). In a deep pan, heat up some oil and sauté the onion, garlic, ginger and green chillies. Add salt. Once the onions start turning brown, add the spices one by one and keep mixing well. Then add the minced fish and incorporate it well. Cook it on a medium heat for two minutes and add the coriander leaves.
Take it off the heat and let it cool down. Then mix in the boiled potato. Add maida/corn flour as per requirement and make the mix into desired shape. Deep/shallow fry or cook in a microwave oven as per preference.
