Mixture is a very popular snack. Here is how to make its corn flakes version at home with minimal effort.
Ingredients
- Corn flakes: 250 grams
- Groundnut: 1 handful
- Garlic: 2 nos (crushed)
- Curry leaves: 1-2 sprigs
- Oil: 1 tablespoon (anything other than coconut oil)
- Salt: 1/4 teaspoon
- Sugar: 1/2 teaspoon (crushed)
- Asafoetida powder: 1 pinch
- Chilli powder: 1/2 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder: 1/4 teaspoon
Preparation
Heat up a pan and pour in the oil. Once the oil is hot, set the flame to medium. Sauté the garlic, curry leaves. Lower the heat and then add the turmeric and chilli powder. Sauté for 30 seconds. Add the corn flakes and groundnut. Mix well and sauté for another 30 seconds. Turn off the heat. Add the salt, asafoetida powder and crushed sugar. Mix thoroughly. Let it cool down to room temperature. Transfer it to a dry, air tight container. This will last for several days.
