We all want something different for evening snacks. Madakki Pathiri is a tea time snack that is very easy to prepare. Madakki means folded, and as the name suggests, the Pathiri is folded before cooking. Here is how to make it.
Wheat flour: 1 cup
Maida: 1 cup
Ghee: As per requirement
Sunflower oil: As per requirement
Salt: As per taste
Water: As per requirement
Mix the wheat flour, maida, salt and water to make a dough in the same consistency of chapatti. Roll the dough into small balls. Roll the dough into a flat disc just like a chapatti. Apply ghee and bring four ends together to make it appear as a box. Roll it out into a rough square. In a pan, heat up some ghee and add oil. Deep fry the folded pathiri until crispy and golden brown.
