Prepared using potatoes, spinach and green peas, hara bhara kabab is a great vegetarian snack. It can also double up as a starter.
Ingredients
- Spinach (green): 100 grams
- Potato: 2 nos
- Green peas: 150 grams
- Gram flour: 4 teaspoons
- Green chilli: 1 nos
- Chat masala: 1 teaspoon
- Mango powder: 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala powder: 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt: As per taste
- Cashew nut: 8 nos
- Coconut oil: As per requirement
Preparation
Boil the potatoes and green peas and keep them aside. Crush the green chillies and keep it aside. Roast the gram flour in a pan. Sear fry the spinach and chop it finely. Finely mash the potatoes and green peas and add the spinach. Add the roasted gram flour, crushed green chilli, salt and the remaining spices. Mix and combine them well. Roll them softly into the shape of small patties. Heat up oil in a fry pan and deep fry the patties until golden brown. Put a cashew nut on top of each kabab as garnish. Serve with mint chutney or tomato ketchup.
