We all use snake gourd to make stir fries and curries. However, we always throw the seeds and the mushy part that covers the seeds. But from next time onwards, save this to make tasty pakodas. Here is how.
Ingredients
- Snake gourd seeds: Of 1 snake gourd (including the pulpy part which covers the seeds)
- Gram flour: 2 tablespoons
- Chilli powder: 1 teaspoon
- Asafoetida powder: 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt: As per taste
- Oil: For deep frying
Preparation
Heat up the oil in a deep pan. Take the snake gourd seeds and pulp in a bowl and add the gram flour, chilli powder and asafoetida powder. Mix well. Add salt only before frying. Otherwise it will result in water oozing out of the snake gourd pulp and ruin the pakoda mix. Take small portions of the pakoda mix and deep fry them. Serve hot.
