Tasty Mutton Curry
Home made Kerala special tasty mutton curry.
Mutton (cleaned and cut into pieces) – 1 kg
Shallot – 15 nos
Onion – 3 nos
Garlic – 1 bulb
Ginger – a small piece
Green chili – 5 no
Chili powder – 1.5 tbsp
Coriander powder – 2 tbsp
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
Masala powder – 1 tbsp (Mixture of caraway, cinnamon, cardamom and clove powdered)
Turmeric powder – 0.5 tsp
Salt, curry leaves, oil, water – Accordingly
Heat a pan and add oil to it. Saute curry leaves, onion, green chilies, turmeric powder and salt in it until the mixture turns brown colour in medium flame.
Now add chopped ginger and garlic to it and saute again. Lower the flame and add the powders and the mutton pieces.
Add water to the mixture according to the amount of gravy required and cook well. When the pieces are half cooked add salt to it.
Take a spoon of oil and heat it. Add curry leaves, half spoon chili powder and masala powder to it.
Add this to the curry and remove from flame. If needed add coconut milk. For unique taste add tomato.
Tasty mutton curry is ready to be served.
