Spinach-green gram soup can improve immunity
During these testing times of coronavirus pandemic, improving immunity is crucial. Here is a soup recipe to help you do just that.
- Green gram: 1/4 cup
- Shallots: 1 handful
- Garlic: 4 cloves
- Spinaches (red, green and sambar): 1 handful of each
- Ginger juice: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: As per taste
- Black pepper powder: 1 pinch
- Water: As per requirement
Cook the green grams with shallots, garlic and enough water. In another pan, boil all the spinaches for a couple of minutes. Drain and let them cool to room temperature. Then throw in the spinach and green grams into a blender and blitz into a thick liquid. Add boiled ginger juice and more water to bring it to a desired consistency. Serve with a pinch of pepper on top.
This soup will digest very easily and one glass can be consumed daily to improve immunity. Optionally, a tiny bit of butter can be added for taste.
