Make pineapple pickle to add a sweet twist to lunch
Pickles are ideal side dish for lunch. We try to make pickles using all possible vegetables and fruits. Pineapple pickle can be a different item for adding taste to the lunch.
- Pineapple – 2 cup
- Kashmiri chilli powder – 2 teaspoons
- Asafoetida – ½ teaspoon
- Vinegar – 1 tablespoon
- Salt – to taste
- Sugar – 2 teaspoon
- Mustard, fenugreek, curry leaves, oil – to crackle
Chop pineapple into small pieces. Heat oil in a pan and crackle mustard, fenugreek and curry leaves. Remove the pan from stove immediately. Add chilli powder and asafoetida and fry them gently and add pineapple to it. Stir it well and put the pan on the stove again.
Add salt and sugar and mix gently. Close the pan with a lid and cook it on low flame. Once pineapple is cooked well, add some vinegar. Stir the pickle and remove from stove. Delicious pineapple pickle is ready.
