Chicken chilli goes well with chapati and roti. Follow this recipe to make it at home.
Ingredients
- Chicken: 350 grams (chopped into small pieces)
- Salt: As per taste
- Egg: 1 nos
- Corn flour: 1/2 cup
- Ginger paste: 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic paste: 1/2 teaspoon
- Oil: For deep frying
- Onion: 2 nos (medium, chopped into chunks)
- Soy sauce: 1 tablespoon
- Vinegar: 2 tablespoons
- Green chilli: 2-3 nos (finely sliced)
- Red Chilli: For garnishing
- Water: As per requirement
Preparation
Crack the egg into a bowl and add the corn flour, ginger and garlic pastes, salt and water to make a thick paste. Add the chicken and mix well. Let it marinate for 30 minutes. Heat up oil in a pan and deep fry the chicken. Keep it aside. Heat up 2 tablespoons of oil in another pan and sauté the onions. Add the green chillies and sauté. Then add soy sauce, vinegar and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute or two. Then add the fried chicken pieces and sauté well. Once the chicken pieces are coated in the mix well, take it off the heat. Garnish with red chillies and serve hot.
