M. G. Sreekumar turns chef with unique mutton curry
We all know M. G. Sreekumar as a fantastic singer. Now, the singer has turned a chef on his YouTube channel with a variety of mutton curry that does not have any spices. M. G. Sreekumar started the cooking session with a song and continued to sing several songs throughout the video. Halfway through the video, the singer also invited his wife Lekha to the kitchen. MG shared that his wife is a fantastic cook and remembered a few non vegetarian and vegetarian she had cooked for him recently. He also sang two of his wife’s favourite songs.
Here is the recipe
- Mutton: 1 kilogram (chopped)
- Curry leaves: As per requirement
- Green chilli: 4-5 nos (hot ones)
- Potato: 2 nos (cubed)
- Carrot: 2 nos (cubed)
- Snake beans: 1/4 cup (sliced)
- Onion: 3 nos (sliced)
- Ginger-garlic paste: As per requirement
- Salt: As per taste
- Water: As per requirement
- Coconut milk: As per requirement
Wash and drain the mutton. Throw it in a pressure cooker and add the onions, snake beans, carrots, potatoes, curry leaves and salt. Smash/crush all the ingredients using a wooden spoon. Then add the green chillies and ginger garlic paste. Crush again. Add some water and crush once again. Cover and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Then, pressure cook until 6 whistles. Let the pressure release naturally. Open the cooker and add some coconut milk. Mix well and transfer it to a large uruli or a large pot. Let it simmer down to the desired consistency. Mutton curry ready.
