Celebrate World Sight Day with carrot milk
Carrots are exceptionally good for your eyes. It is a good source of several vitamins and minerals, especially biotin, potassium, and vitamins A (from beta carotene), K1 (phylloquinone), and B6. Celebrate this Word Sight Day with carrot milk.
- Carrots: 2 nos (peeled)
- Milk: 2 cups
- Cinnamon: 1 stick
- Clove: 1 nos
- Honey: 1 teaspoon
- Almonds: 4-5 nos (chopped)
- Saffron powder: 1 small pinch
Pressure cook or thoroughly boil the carrots. Chop them up and grind them into fine paste along with almonds. (A little water can be used to ease the process). Boil the milk on low heat for 5 minutes with cinnamon and clove. Add the carrot paste and boil for 4 minutes. Add the saffron and take it off the heat. Let the milk cool down. Pour the milk into a blender, add the honey and whiz. Carrot milk is ready to serve.
