This recipe will help you make tasty cardamom-mutton kebabs right at home.

  • Mutton: 600 grams (cubed)
  • Onion: 3 nos
  • Ginger-garlic paste: 2 teaspoons
  • Chilli powder: 2 teaspoons
  • Curd: 150 ml
  • Turmeric powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Cardamom powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Sunflower oil: 3 tablespoons

Quarter two of the onions and keep them aside. Finely chop the remaining onion and grate it along with the ginger garlic paste and curd. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder and cardamom powder into the paste to create a marinade. Apply this on the mutton cubes and let it sit aside for two hours.

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. On a skewer, pile on the mutton cubes and quartered onion pieces one after the other. Place the skewers on an oiled baking tray. Brush over a little bit of oil and cook until tender. It usually takes only around 8-10 minutes for a well done kebab.
