Kozhikode: Neelambuj Neel and Vikas Yadhav set out for a pan-India Bullet ride carrying only two pairs of dress, mobile phones and some essentials. The journey to learn about the history and heritage of India has completed 4500 kilometres. The duo reached Kozhikode beach on Wednesday night.

As the riders thought a night’s sleep on the beach can be different, they made the tent and slept there. But police awakened them. When they explained their plans, the cops left saying they should take responsibility for their luggage. That was a new experience for both of them.

Neelambuj is conducting a research on the contemporary and historic culture of India at Banaras Hindu University. Vikas is postgraduate student at Jamia Millia Islamia University. They set out for the journey as part of studies.

The duo visited art galleries and museums at historically important places and talked with the artists and sculptors. Both of them visited Jabalpur, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Dindigul, Kodaikanal, Madurai, Kanyakumari, Rameshwaram, Thiruchendur, Puducherry, Mahabalipuram, Tiruvannamalai, Kochi and Thrissur before reaching Kozhikode.

Neelambuj and Vikas started their Bullet ride on February 14 this year and has been continuing it for 46 days. They try to reduce the expense maximum by staying in tents or houses of acquaintances. They will leave for Udupi next day.
