Kodanchery: A rain walk was organised here in relation to the Kayaking championship in Thusharagiri. The trekking in the rain was jointly conducted by a women's group ‘World of Women’, Department of Kerala Tourism and Kaithapoyil Lissah College.
A six km-long walk, flagged off by Linto Joseph MLA from Thusharagiri, ended at Neerattukunnu. Over 40 women participated in the event.
The international kayaking championship, ‘Malabar River Festival’, has been scheduled on August 12, 13 and 14. The competition will be held at Chalipuzha and Iruvanjippuzha. The organisers expect over a hundred contestants from inside and outside India in the event.
