Lakkom waterfalls

Munnar: Scorching heat rules daytime while the weather turns extremely cold during night in Munnar. As a result, the refreshing Lakkom waterfalls in the Marayoor region has emerged as a favourite spot of tourists in Munnar.

The crystal clear water emerges from the pristine wilderness of the Anamudi hills and flows down as Lakkom waterfalls inside the Eravikulam national park. The absence of residential areas in the vicinity of the waterfall helps to maintain its purity.

The waterfall is safe to play and bathe even for kids. In addition to this, the officials of the forest department has rolled out safety precautions near the falls.

The flow of visitors to the waterfalls has steeply increased in the wake of summer season. The entry fee per visitor has been fixed at Rs 50.

Lakkom waterfalls under Munnar forest and wildlife division is situated 16 kilometres away from Marayoor and 24 kilometres away from Munnar- Marayoor state highway in Marayoor route.
