Kozhikode: The enticing waterfall ‘Narangathode’, also known as Pathangayam falls, hidden in the hills and forests near Anakkampoyil in Kozhikode has turned enjoyable with the summer rains. The refreshing milky water cascading through the rocks is a breathtaking view camouflaged by the lush green forests and cocoa plantations.
A dive in the blue and green plunge pools bristling with fish would be an indelible experience to the visitors, who admire the divine beauty of nature. Many other natural waterfalls such as the Thusharagiri waterfalls, Arippara waterfalls, Vellarimala falls, and Marippuzha waterfalls are also situated close to the Narangathode falls.
The entry is free to this 100 feet high falls between 8 am and 6 pm. A 45 kilometres long journey from Kozhikode city will take the visitors to Narangathode via the Kozhikode- Thiruvambadi- Pullurampara- Manjuvayal- Narangathode.
The visitors are directed to follow extreme caution as several accidents and even death cases were reported at Narangathode falls earlier.
