Athirappilly: Malakkappara KSRTC bus service started off by September and has become a huge hit. As the travellers flocked, KSRTC has managed nine special services along with the daily service to Malakkappara. However, the service has been halted due to the heavy rain in the state.

KSRTC gains a profit of Rs 1.5 lakhs just within two days. The travel of 90 kilometres through the paths amid misty evergreen rain forests will entice any traveller to experience the KSRTC journey. If fortunate enough, they will also get a glimpse of the herd of elephants, bison, leopard and many birds including Great pied hornbills.

The bus service solely deployed for the tourists halt at major tourist spots and viewpoints during the journey. The travellers are seen celebrating the trip with songs and dance in the bus.
