Ponnani boating offers an amazing evening to visitors

Ponnani: A boating to relish the sight of the sea embracing Bharathapuzha awaits the travel lovers at Ponnani. Boating has been permitted near the estuary in Ponnani as a part of encouraging water tourism.

At present, five boats are conducting services here. The boats in the Shikara model of Alappuzha also render amazing times for the tourists. The boat jetties are situated near the harbour and Karma road on the banks of the river.

The visitors can pre-book their boating which begins around 3 pm. Passing the Chamravattom bridge, Ponnani harbour, estuary and western shores, the boat will return to the jetty.

Rs 100 is charged for the 1-hour-long boating. There is a reduction in ticket fares for the children. Special packages are also available for families and friends who arrive as groups.

Along the journey, Ponnani special snacks are also served to the passengers.

The boating is ideal for get-togethers as it is less expensive and more entertaining compared to the hotels, opines the owners.
