Plantations of farming corporation
Pathanapuram: The state government is again considering the concept of farm tourism by utilising the landscape of the plantations of the Farming Corporation in Pathanamthitta. The tourist potential of the region came out when the rubber trees were chopped to replant. The hills, meadows, boulders, green valleys, streams and fauna can mesmerise any traveller who reaches here.
The visitors can also enjoy sights from Elappupara and Kottappara. The misty estate premises along with the lights that lit the small towns and residential areas, add the beauty of the valley during nights.
Daring trekking through the rocky terrains of Kottappara and the distant views and gushing winds awaiting the travellers on the top of the hill offers a splendid experience for them. Other journeys through Mullumala, Kumaramkudi, Ambanar, Sahyaseema and Cherppittakavu are also enchanting. Many visitors swarm to the farms for travelling to Achankovil by relishing the sights.
