Alakode (Kannur): The tourism sector of Malabar is humming to celebrate Diwali.

Now, the 10 acres of Palakkayam Thattu is adorned by 60,000 elegant lamps. Without hampering the beauty of the site, the small lamps will attract people to linger a bit longer even after sunset.

The micro-unit lamps are set up with the aid of new technology, sans the use of cement or similar materials. The lamps will light up from November 1 in Palakkayam Thattu. It has been expected that more tourists will arrive here as the rain eases off.
