Bloggers at Kadalundi
Kadalundi: Twenty-five enthusiastic bloggers from nineteen countries arrived in Kadalundi on Thursday as part of the Kerala Blog Express trip , an exciting campaign organised by the state tourism department. The bloggers were eager to explore and showcase the mesmerising sights and experiences that Kadalundi has to offer.
During their visit, the bloggers had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the local culture and responsible tourism activities. They visited the coir society and weaving centre in the village life experience street, which serves as a model project for responsible tourism. The bloggers actively participated in various activities, including weaving, gaining insights into the traditional crafts and skills of the region.
The itinerary also included a visit to Beypur's Uru factory, allowing the bloggers to witness the local industries and craftsmanship in action. Subsequently, the group set off for Wayanad after indulging in the unique Malabar cookery show, savouring the flavours and culinary delights of the region.
The diverse group of bloggers hailed from countries such as Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Italy, Romania, USA, UK, Netherlands, Canada, Kenya, South Africa, Malaysia, Indonesia, New Zealand, Turkey, and Colombia. Raksha Rao and Somjit Bhattacharya represented India as part of this journey.
The Kerala Blog Express Yatra, now in its seventh edition, commenced on July 13 from Thiruvananthapuram, with Minister PA Muhamed Riyas flagging off the event. The bloggers, who secured top positions in an online poll, were selected to be part of this enthralling tour group.
