Sindhu and her son Gopakumar set off to Ladakh from Ernakulam

Paravur: Natives of Kadakkara flocked to see off a youth and his mother who set off for a motorcycle trip to Ladakh on Wednesday. Sindhu Kuttan (50) and her son Gopakumar (26) have set out for the bike trip from Ezhikkara after their preparations of two years.

Both will ride the bike on the journey and cover up to 400 kilometres per day. They will reach Ladakh after visiting Goa, Pune, Maharashtra, Jaipur and Srinagar. By covering 4000 kilometres, they have planned to reach Ladakh within 12 days and return by bike itself.

Sindhu is an employee at the canteen of Maharajas college and her son Gopakumar is a salesman. Their trip was flagged off by SNDP union secretary Hari Vijayan in the presence of the locals and the panchayat president KD Vincent.
