Actor Shraddha Srinath’s Azerbaijan travelling pictures have gone viral on social media platforms. She also shared a note of her experiences touring through the transcontinental country, which has assimilated the cultures of Europe and Asia.
In her Instagram post, Shraddha praised the polite behaviour of the waiters in the restaurants and the cops who were so helpful. The largest Caspian city Baku also gained a special mention in Shraddha’s post. “The outskirts of Baku look very soviet and cold”, she wrote. After being separated from the erstwhile Soviet Union, the modern Republic of Azerbaijan came into being in August 1991. Apart from the Soviet reminiscence, the appealing architectural styles, London taxis, and cable cars also allure visitors to Baku.
Azerbaijan has emerged as a favourite destination of Indians due to simple visa procedures, and affordable travel expenses, unlike other European countries. Azerbaijan witnesses the rush of travellers from April to October. In November, tourists flock to Azerbaijan to experience the snowfall, an ideal time to visit the country.
Unlike its neighbouring countries, a trip to Azerbaijan will only cost around Rs 80,000 per person on average for three nights, including travel, food and accommodation expenses.
