Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Tourism Minister PA Mohammed Riyas on Tuesday revealed major projects to attract tourists to the state.

According to the minister, the projects will give new life to hilly areas. Some of the major announcements are:

  • 50 bridges across the state will be illuminated in international standards within 2023
  • 50 per cent of roads under PWD will be converted as Bitumen Macadam and Bitumen Concrete (BMBC) roads.
  • Hill highway works will be included under the chief minister’s major projects
The minister made this announcement while inaugurating the reconstruction of the bridge connecting the Thiruvambady-Punnackal areas.
