Kozhikode: Karaparamba Government Higher Secondary School located in Kozhikode is an architectural marvel. The school, on the verge of closing down, was revived through PRISM Project launched by former MLA A Pradeepkumar to breathe fresh life into government schools in Kerala.

The project, anchored by Architect Nimisha Hakkim and Design Ashram Consultants based in Calicut won the IIA National Awards 2020 for socially responsible architecture.

Karaparamba School goes to show that out-of-the-box innovations and top-quality education are not alien to government schools in Kerala. It affirms that with a little push and the right reinforcements, anything is possible.
