Thiruvananthapuram: In a remarkable feat, three nurses namely P Sreedevi, MC Chandrika and V Sindhumol bagged the Sister Lini Puthussery Memorial Award for the state’s best nurse in various categories.

Sreedevi, senior nursing officer at Kollam district hospital, bagged the award for best nurse in the health department’s general nursing category.

Whereas, Chandrika, junior public health grade 1 nurse of Thrissur Pudukad Taluk Hospital, was selected for the award in the public health nursing category.

The award for the best nurse in the general nursing category of the public health department was given to V Sindhumol, senior nursing officer at medical college hospital, Thiruvananthapuram.

The awardees were selected by a committee chaired by the additional chief secretary of the health department.
