RCC to be equipped for bone marrow transplants for children: Veena George


In response to Saji Cherian MLA’s submission in the Assembly, the minister said, “Bone marrow transplantation facilities for all age groups are available at the Malabar Cancer Centre.

Thiruvananthapuram: Health Minister Veena George on Wednesday said that the facilities for children’s bone marrow transplantation surgery will be set up in the Regional Cancer Centre (RCC) in Thiruvananthapuram.

In response to Saji Cherian MLA’s submission in the Assembly, the minister said, “Bone marrow transplantation facilities for all age groups are available at the Malabar Cancer Centre. After the technical committee’s evaluation, necessary action will be taken for those in need of emergency surgery.”

The seventh session of the Kerala Assembly had adjourned on Tuesday and will sit again next month.
