Kalpetta: Noolpuzha Family Health Centre (FHC) in Wayanad, which once made headlines for getting selected for the National Quality Assurance Certification (NQAC) for the second consecutive time, is now making rounds on social media after Dr Soumya Swaminathan, former chief scientist at the World Health Organisation (WHO) tweeted about its facilities.
Taking to Twitter, Swaminathan lauded the FHC and wrote, “I have never seen a primary health centre like this anywhere in the world - congratulations to Dr Dahar Mohammed & his team at #Noolpuzha, Wayanad, Kerala! This is what comprehensive, quality health care looks like - #AyushmanBharath @mansukhmandviya @CMOKerala @MoHFW_INDIA.”
Sharing pictures of the clinic’s facilities, she added in another tweet, “Digital health records, nurse screening followed by Drs consultation, comprehensive lab, eSanjeevani for specialist care, well stocked pharmacy, excellent physiotherapy services, healthy ageing & even a post #Covid clinic! Impressive!.”
Earlier, Noolpuzha FHC had secured a score of 93 per cent in the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) conducted by an expert team under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. It also holds the reputation for being the first FHC in the state to have implemented the e-health system.
