Thiruvananthapuram: The authorities concerned have issued notice to 40 food centres across Kerala over the state government’s order banning food parcels without slips or stickers mentioning details mandated by Food Safety Standards Regulations.

Revealing the data and other measures in place, health minister Veena George on Friday said that crack down on violators will continue.

The food and safety department had conducted raids at 321 centres across the state. 53 centres were issued with notices. Seven centres that had been operating in unhygienic conditions were directed to shut down. 62 samples were sent for testing.
