Thiruvananthapuram: The central team has found that many people who received both doses of vaccine were infected with Covid in Kerala. The team have been visiting different districts in the state as part of the study.
In Pathanamthitta district, 14,974 people were infected with Covid after receiving the first dose and 5,042 people turned Covid positive after getting both the doses, said the NCDC director Sujeet Singh who heads the central team.
The central team reported that Covid test positivity rate (TPR) was above 10 percent in all the eight districts they visited and the TPR is increasing in some places. They also made it clear that 80 per cent of the Covid patients are affected with the delta variant.
