When all are staying inside their households fearing coronavirus, there are some people who never fail to give you what you want to eat from time to time. They are the delivery boys of online food delivery companies and hotel home delivery services. Online food delivery services like Zomato, Swiggy and Potafo are still functioning without fearing the disease.
Most of the delivery boys on the street, work for online food services. They are given emergency passes to travel during the lockdown. "You should stay at home. But don't worry, we will give you the food you want," said Bijoy who works for Swiggy.
Most of the food services now function between 8 am and 8 pm. Potafo staff have to work at least four hours a day compulsorily.
"We wear mask while working. It has two advantages. First we will be safe. Secondly, people cannot identify us and alienate," said another delivery boy.
