Fish Molly

Kerala Style Fish Molly is a super tasty mildly spiced delightful fish stew. Children or old aged, anybody would love to have chapati, pathiri or appam with this delicious dish.

Ingredients

  • Fish- 1/2 kg
  • Onion- 2
  • Green chillies- 2
  • Ginger- 1 dsp
  • Garlic- 1 dsp
  • Tomato- 1
  • Chilly powder- 1/2 dsp
  • Turmeric powder- 1/2 dsp
  • Pepper powder- 1/4 dsp
  • Garam masala- 1/2 dsp
  • Lemon juice- 1 dsp
  • Coconut milk- 1 cup
  • Curry leaves- A few
  • Oil -As required
  • Salt- As required
Preparation

Make a thick paste of chilly powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, salt and lemon juice first. Clean the fish and marinate it with the paste.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish for 3 minutes. After that, saute onion, ginger, garlic and sliced green chillies in the same pan. Saute well. Then, add curry leaves and garam masala. Saute it for 1 minute.

Now, add coconut milk to it and let it boil. Add salt as needed. Add fish pieces slowly. Cook well. After cooking well, transfer to a bowl and garnish it with a tomato.
