Kozhikode: Writer-cum-thinker Fr Abraham Adapoor passed away at Malaparamba here on Saturday. He was 98 and breathed his last around 11 am.
The Jesuit priest had been ailing and spending his last days of life at Christ Hall Jesuit Bhavan. Fr Adapoor has penned 27 books and is known for his founder-director role at Lumen Jyothis Institute in Kochi.
He marked his stints in fields of literature, culture and philosophy. He was also Indian coordinator to Jesuit Church, Rome.
He has reported Second Vatican Council for Malayalam media organisations. His debate with C Achutha Menon in Mathrubhumi weekly was popular.
His funeral will be held on Monday at 10:30 am at Christ Hall cemetery.
