The sensational story of Kannur native VK Thajudheen, who was falsely accused and jailed for 54 days, acquired blanket media coverage in 2018. Now, five years later, a book, ‘The Stolen Necklace’, written by senior journalist Shevlin Sebastian and published by HarperCollins, retells the tragic story encompassing all its life and drama.

“I am thrilled to have my story published by a reputed publisher. I am also grateful for my collaboration with Shevlin Sebastian. He has written it in a straightforward style,” said Thajudheen.

According to Kochi-based Shevlin, Thajudheen opened up like the many skins of an onion. “As he (Thajudheen) spoke on one subject, other topics came up in his mind. This is an extraordinary story of an ordinary Malayali,” said the journalist.

The book is available online on Amazon (Rs 301, free delivery) and the HarperCollins website.
