Thiruvananthapuram: Kairali Channel Managing Director John Brittas opined that MP Veerendra Kumar was a scholarly political leader of Kerala. He played a great role in developing a sense of social commitment among journalists of our generation, Brittas stated.
LJD state president and Mathrubhumi Managing Director MV Shreyams Kumar handed over the first copy of the June issue of 'Service Centre', the mouthpiece of Kerala NGO Centre, to John Brittas. The issue was released as a special commemorative edition of MP Veerendra Kumar.
NGO Centre state president Panavoor Nasar chaired the function. Former ministers V Surendran Pillai, K P Mohanan, LJD state general secretary Sheikh P Harris, district president N M Nair, state committee members G Satheesh Kumar, Balu Kiriyath, NGO Centre office-bearers Bindulal Chiramel and Joshy Razad also attended the event.
